Day 5 @ Chennai

At the beginning of the day we went to Dakshina Chitra, to do an activity called iRace. We had to use two pieces of equipment. They were the “UMPC” and a “Digital Camera”. My group consisted of Aravind, Coconut Head aka Kimberly, Shernise and Ryan Lai. The hardest task was the first one. We were the third group to finish. We left Dakshina Chitra shortly after the iRace.

We went to a restaurant to have lunch. The lunch was quite delicious. Soon, after we left the restaurant to go visit a Film Studio.

But, there was a strike at the studio. The strike had caused a postponement to the visiting the Film Studio. Instead, we went to the city centre to go SHOPPING. YEAH!!!!

The shopping mall was quite nice. I bought a T-shirt from a store called Pepe Jeans. Well that’s what I did. THE END!!!

Day 4 @ Chennai

We went to Gateway School again, for the last time. We planted trees for ENO. I planted two trees, with a total of 48 leaves. After the tree planting, we left the school for the home visit.

For the home visit I was partnered with Aravind. We were visiting Dejoel our buddy’s home. I realized that his home is in the outskirts of India. I spent most of the time sleeping in his home sleeping. I realized that there was lots of trees and space left unoccupied.

We also went to see something like a zoo. We fed some birds, goats and emus. Then we left to go for dinner.

After dinner we went back to Gateway School.

We arrived at Gateway School around 8 p.m. The students and their buddies were talking about what they did with the host family. I can’t remember my speech but Mrs. Nam called it a diplomatic speech, which I don’t know what that means. I’ll just take it as a compliment. THE END !!!

Reflection @ CIP - Day 3

After breakfast, we left the hotel to go visit The Gateway School for the second time. When we arrived at the school, we were welcomed hospitably again by the teachers and students.

There was a martial arts demonstration. We were also allowed to practice some of the martial arts techniques. After, trying some martial arts, we left to do the CIP program for the government school.

Upon arriving at the government school, I was really scared of the students as they were starring at us like we were ROCKSTARS. We did some video taking, of the setting-up of the library and an art activity. When we were about to leave, I was relieved. The worst part was the there was lots of mosquitoes. We also had to bring some encyclopedias, which was part of the library. That’s probably all I have to say for now. THE END :>

School & IT Visits - Day 2

At the beginning of the day the first thing I heard and did was the wake-up call. When we finished bathing and changing to our school uniform. After that we went down to the lobby to wait for the all the teachers and students to arrive at the lobby. When everyone arrived we went in to the restaurant Olives, which was located in the hotel. After breakfast we left directly to visit Gateway School for the first time. Anderson Primary School and Gateway School are different in many ways such as Gateway has air-con in every room, they have less students than us and their trash cans are designed as different animals. We also got to meet our buddies. After all that we went to an IT company called InfoSys. The trip to InfoSyS was quite intresting i learnt a lot more that i have not known before.

When went back left InfoSys we went back to school to do have an art class. From what I have seen I appreciate Singapore even more than before, as people in Singapore are fortunate and the water is safer and the roads are also well-made. We went back to the Hotle to go for a rest before dinner. THE END :)

Day 1 - Chennai

Well, the first thing we did when we arrived in Chennai, was have lunch. The restaurant we ate in was called Kabula. If you see the restaurant from the outside, it looks like a low-class restaurant. But, when you go inside, the restaurant is actually very high-class. My favourite part would be when the food was served. the food was actually quite spicy, yet it was extremely delicious. The restaurants interior was old yet majestic.

When we arrivedat Deccan Plaza Hotel, our room keys were given to us. After we were settled in the rooms, we left the hotel to visit Marina Beach. When we arrived at the beach my first, impression while on the bus on the bus was that the beach was very long. When we started walking around the beach, which was more like a desert than a beach. Well on the beach we had an art activity, which I was not that good at doing.

When we got back to the hotel, we had a few minutesto wash-up, before we lft to go to a restaurant called Shogun. The food at Shogun was Indian Food, served in a Chinese style. After eating we went back to the hotel. When we got bsck we went directly to our rooms to sleep. THE END :)

Places Of Interest

There are many places of interest in Singapore. But I am only talking about some of them that are well known by every single Singaporean. Well to start with the most known which is The Merlion. The Merlion is a stutue with the head of a lion and the body of a fish. The other famous place is the Singapore Flyer. Which is the largest Ferris Wheel in Singapore. The last one that I will talk about is The Esplanade. The most intresting part is that it is shaped like a durian. Those are the places of interest that I will talk about as those ar my favourite places. The End
